Problem was that I just detached myself from her once I guessed the ending. Plus, by the second half of the book, I was rooting for Will to go on with his plan.

But I'd love to read your review for Book 2. I'm curious about it but not enough to pick it up myself. I did find her "chirpy working class" characterisation a little unsubtle, but I did like her!

Meljean: Yeah, I don't think it's well served by the marketing. That cover is very misleading. I found it actually quite thoughtful.Rosariohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13015659149421085931noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3730322.post-36484255983786743132016-04-05T06:54:13.613+01:002016-04-05T06:54:13.613+01:00Oh, that's not what I expected at all. But it sounds quite different from that.meljean brookhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16135527993507471830noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3730322.post-10913303837589533072016-04-04T13:16:12.046+01:002016-04-04T13:16:12.046+01:00Great review. Will's decision also resonated well with me. However, I still can't say I liked the book. I wonder whether I'd have enjoyed it more if the book was told from Will's POV.Sunnoreply@blogger.com
