They're now so cute! ;-)Rosariohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13015659149421085931noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3730322.post-49238449545689963532018-08-31T11:20:41.900+01:002018-08-31T11:20:41.900+01:00Thank you for this review! On the one hand, I really hated everything about those repulsive butterbugs but, on the other hand, I really loved Mountains of mourning, so, I guess I'll read it in the future, but not inmediately.Bona Caballerohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08999745390738959715noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3730322.post-59809708519202423402018-08-19T07:51:50.159+01:002018-08-19T07:51:50.159+01:00Fernande: It was like a quick visit with good frie...Fernande: It was like a quick visit with good friends, and that's always nice. I must say, though, I'm ready for another full-length LMB. I don't mind what series (existing or a new one), but I would love something I can really sink my teeth into!Rosariohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13015659149421085931noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3730322.post-89585096406919424202018-08-15T12:37:10.168+01:002018-08-15T12:37:10.168+01:00I enjoyed this novella as well. Ekaterin and Miles are wonderful characters and even though Ekaterin is the central character in this one, I really like catching these glimpses of the more mature, less manic Miles, happy in his marriage and family.
Sadly, I haven't really been engaged by the Penric series, but I'll look forward to seeing your review, Rosario, to see what I'm perhaps missing as I read them. Much as I love all her other series, it's not quite as much as the Vorkosigans!

And yes, she really has a knack for writing good novellas. Too many authors try to do too much in them. She gets them exactly right.Rosariohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13015659149421085931noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3730322.post-19655659762207867402018-08-11T18:59:47.942+01:002018-08-11T18:59:47.942+01:00I've been enjoying the Penric novellas, but it...
I've been enjoying the Penric novellas, but it was fun to get a Vorkosigan one for a change. I think Bujold's good at novellas: I never feel shortchanged by her.
Marianne McAnoreply@blogger.com
